Practicum course 2016 with the Chicago Blackhawks recap

The Sport & Recreation Management Chicago practicum was another huge success this summer! During the final week of the course, the students delivered excellent presentations of their research and recommendations to Blackhawks execs and received a ton of positive feedback. Some students also got to work during Blackhawks Prospect Camp, having their stories published on Blackhawks.nhl.com and assisting the team photographer and social media staff. The class then traded their suits for t-shirts and went to work as event managers during the Blackhawks Convention. The Blackhawks staff had high praise for the effort and results from the students during the convention. Overall ‪#‎UISRMChi16‬ will be remembered for giving students hands-on experience with one of the most respected organizations in the sport industry and creating friendships and networking relationships that will last a lifetime!
