I established and continue to teach in the university’s Sport and Recreation Business Practicum program, which has included courses that have worked with the Chicago Blackhawks, San Diego Padres, Cedar Rapids Kernels, Iowa Energy and many other sport organizations on projects to address organizational needs in marketing, sales, communications, event management and other areas. 

I developed and continue to lead the popular field trip program that has taken hundreds of Iowa students on the road to meet with and learn from executives at such organizations as the Indiana Pacers, NCAA, Minnesota Twins, Kansas City Chiefs, USA Track & Field and many other prominent sport organizations. 

It’s incredibly inspiring to see students grow into young professionals through such experiences and have career breakthroughs as a result of connections made and work performed.
